Build And Go version 8.0.6 released

Confident in the many weeks of intensive beta testing, we now deem Build And Go roadworthy and ready for prime-time!  Hurtdidit's flagship website building software is officially out of beta at last.

Server load issues 9-8-08

[UPDATE: 2:58PM MT]  I am all but certain that we have now fixed this issue, and all should be working like normal once again.  If you find otherwise, please submit a support ticket and we will investigate.

[UPDATE: 1:05PM MT]  I spoke too soon; looks like we are still experiencing some lingering issues.  We are working on it and will update when progress has been made.

[UPDATE: 9:45AM MT] We believe we have found the ghost in the machine, and we are working to chase it out.  Normal service should resume momentarily.

[9:30AM MT] Hurtdidit's web- and mail-servers are experiencing higher-than-average loads, resulting in service slowdown for email and some web services.

Our technicians are investigating to find the cause.

Hurtdidit is temporarily not accepting any new clients

contact HurtdiditSince our humble start in 1999, Hurtdidit has seen a growth surge in terms of client projects and staff size.  We are excited that as we celebrate the start of Year Nine, the future is looking as bright as ever!

Unfortunately, we have reached a saturation point.  With the launch of Build And Go 8, we must undergo upgrades for existing client accounts while continuing development of new features.  New staff is being trained in, and a more streamlined upgrade system is being worked out, but until that is done, we've had to make the decision to temporarily stop accepting new clients.  This is the second time we have done so this year, as we focus on current clients as our top priority.

Our existing clients' needs come first, and I am confident that we will be able to open the floodgates back up in a few weeks.  Prospects who have already received proposals from us will still be honored if they decide to select Hurtdidit for their projects.

Please contact us to be placed on the waiting list, or if you have a particularly critical project.  I can't make any promises, but we might be able to squeeze you in.

Thank you for your patience and continued enthusiasm for our services!

Hurtdidit contact form snafu

In our ongoing beta testing of Build And Go version 8, it came to our attention that one of the updates broke the contact form on Hurtdidit.com.

Thus, if you have tried contacting Hurtdidit via our contact form over the past week, we did not receive your message!  Please try contacting us again.

No client sites were impacted by this snafu, so we are grateful for that.

webserver upgrades today - August 13, 2008

To facilitate the development of Build And Go version 8, and its sister product, Build And Go Commerce, Hurtdidit is performing a set of upgrades to the web servers today, including an upgrade to Apache (the web server software), and PHP 5 (scripting language which forms the backbone of Build And Go).

We expect only minimal downtime to take place, and during the early morning (pre-business day) hours.

If you have any questions or if you run into any troubles, please submit a ticket to the help desk, and we will respond promptly.

Build And Go version 8 soft rollout today

We are very pleased to announce that Build And Go version 8 is undergoing a "soft rollout" as scheduled, today.

A soft rollout means that we are upgrading select accounts and testing to ensure everything is working.  When we have verified that all is well, we will increase the scope of the rollout, upgrading more client accounts individually.

All clients will be contacted beforehand to advise of their account upgrade.  Minimal site downtime is expected (if any).

Email oddities on 8-8-08

Update:  After a weekend of investigating and reinstalling of MailScanner components, the issue seems to have been resolved.  We are not convinced the issue was in fact on Hurtdidit's server (it was more likely a DNS disruption in the client's ISP), but regardless the problem has been fixed.

We have received reports of select email bounce-backs from one of our clients today.  At this point it appears to be limited to the one client account, but we cannot be certain if the issue is impacting others yet at this point.

We are investigating the problem and will update when progress is made.

Clients are asked to use our Help Desk at HurtHelp.com for priority support responses.

A cool new rival to Google?

As Google continues taking over the world, a new rival has emerged with the goal of unseating the 800-pound gorilla in online search.  Wishful thinking?
With the release of Build And Go version 8.0.5 BETA today, the much-anticipated 8-8-08 release date for Version 8 is on schedule.
