MailScanner has been upgraded today to version 4.84.3.  Additionally, ClamAV (one of the antivirus programs we operate on our mail server) has been upgraded to version 0.97.3.

The datacenter where Hurtdidit's webhosting servers are located will be performing maintenance to the network backbone.  This maintenance includes several behind-the-scenes upgrades which will provide increased reliability when routing traffic to servers during heavy bandwidth scenarios.

Maintenance is scheduled to be performed on September 6th, from midnight to 8:00 am CDT.

No outage is expected during this maintenance, however our clients may experience higher latency while routes are managed across the network. (In non-techno-speak: your email and website traffic may be slower than normal during this maintenance window).

This upgrade includes a variety of performance improvements.

We have been working quietly and frenetically behind-the-scenes on the latest version of Build And Go (our hosted website editing platform).  A brand-new dedicated server has been configured specifically for Build And Go Version 10 with the latest hardware available, to maximize performance for our clients' sites.

Build And Go Version 10 officially enters Alpha Testing today, which is the first assembled internal testing.  I'm not going to pin down a timeline for Beta Testing just yet, but expect to do so by mid-May.  Those clients who have requested to serve as beta testers (or who have had their collective arms twisted by us!) will be contacted at that time.

Next week, I will post a list of primary features our clients can expect to see.  I am excited to move our flagship website editor forward!

These are both regular maintenance updates, patching several minor bugs and adding a few improvements.

Hurtdidit's webhosting datacenter engineers will be conducting maintenance on the transport network that provides connectivity between the datacenter and outside networks.  This maintenance is scheduled for Sunday, September 26, 2010 from midnight to 4:00 am CT.

During this maintenance, engineers will make every effort to mitigate the impact to customer traffic; however, customers are likely to see routing anomalies, packet-loss, and increased latency.
